A Limited Exhibition at the Snug Building
“An artist is not without value except in his own hometown.”
I’ve shown work in New York, Florida, and Tennessee for the past eight years. I’ve avoided showing in Lansing because familiarity and price both mess with my bottom line.
But it is time, dammit.

You’re welcome to schedule a private viewing anytime in the next seven days. My phone number is 517.898.7776.
If you’re far away, we can set up a FaceTime tour.
We’re tentatively planning a public event on or around Wednesday, March 11. Save the date. Drop‑in hours will also be announced in the coming days.
Keep an eye out for special one‑off events and conversations about art, music, and marketing.
An excellent filmmaker, Alec Gnass, envisioned and created the short film below to support the exhibition. Watch it, then keep reading.
Heads Up
Let’s get this show on the road.
Tomorrow morning, I’ll move into the gallery to give the building some life. I’ll be sleeping there until next Sunday- hanging art, re‑hanging art, giving private tours, and spending time with local artists and family.
Here’s the truth: I’m not just showing my artwork to Lansing. I’m selling it.
If you want to come hang out and look at pretty pictures, I’d love to see you.
But…
I have not been truly available to sell my work in Lansing for a long time. I’ve only done two art festivals in two years. I’ve been proving myself to myself.
I’m ready to get involved in the world again. This is the first step.
For seven straight days, I’m planted in this location. I have not been available. Now I am very available.
Ready.
I want to warn you: I am selling. Since I have the opportunity to use this beautiful building, I’m going to use it to the fullest.
Translation: you may get sick of me for a little while.
I’m going to pour cool stuff onto Facebook. I’m going to log the hours here in the Million Dollar Garage newsletter, with seven updates from my overnight stays in the building. Bento Wiz isn’t exempt either.
I need your shares and your attention when you can spare it. Not a demand—an ask.
ready.
This work I do is for people like you and me. Working folks. Working folks with walls full of art. If you’re not in the market, there are small ways to contribute to this story we’re making together.
